Frequently Asked Questions:

Do The Programs Include In Person Support Or Can I Contact Your For Questions About My Dogs Training?

All our programs are self paced and DO NOT include any person support. We have discontinued our in person services but found it would be shame to remove/discontinue all the valuable information we've created and put into an online format over the years. We truly believe that are programs have a tremendous amount of valuable information. With that, we have simply decided to make our hard acquired knowledge available at a very low cost to benefit dog owners further but we will not provide an support or answers to any training questions. If you need more help, we recommend you connect with a local dog trainer in your area that provides in person or virtual support.

How Long Do I Have Access To The Program?

The programs come with life time access which refers to the life time of the course until we decide to either remove it from the hosting platform for any reason or if the hosting platform discontinues their services.

What Is Your Training Methodology?

We can sum up our methodology in one word. Balance. We use both positive and negative motivators in our training programs. Food, toys, praise are used with all dogs to motivate them for faster more reliable responses. Most dogs we work with don’t need much aversive control during the basic training process which our programs are focused on. Proper communication and motivation go a long way. Since these are online programs without any in person support we do mostly focus on reinforcement and redirection without correction as we believe that should require supervision on a professional. Some training modules may contain information on how to use different training leashes or walking tools with proper usage and instruction for safe use.

Do You Use Treats/Food For The Training?

Yes. While we do incorporate food in our training it is not used for all our training and if we do so, the goal is to eventually fade out the reinforcement by food. We rarely use treats but rather encourage our clients to use the dogs actual meals.

My Dog Is Reactive Towards People Or Dogs. Will These Courses Be Supportive?

When it comes to reactivity, foundation is the key. When we used to support dogs with reactivity, our Canine Foundations course was a baseline to start out in addition then followed with our Basic Breakthrough course and additional in person support. These two courses will be supportive but won't resolve major reactivity but can be a great affordable foundation in addition to working with a local trainer in your area if needed.
